Small Town Designs

By Ahren

My name is Ahren and I have been creative since I was little. I grew up in the village of Homer and have lived in the Truxton area for 12 years. I began crafting as a hobby and as a way to make gifts for those close to me. I now take custom orders and love every minute of it!

Quilting & Embroidery

By Paula

Hello My name is Paula Slocum. I am excited to bring to you some handmade items. I have been quilting for about 20 plus years. When my sons were young I had nowhere to quilt so I put it aside for awhile when they were involved in sports and activities. When my son moved out I took over one of the bedrooms and created a sewing room. I grew up in a small town near Oneida, NY, but call home Groton, NY and every weekend during May to October I call Truxton our weekend home as we have a camp at Forest Lake Campground. I will take custom orders if there is something specific you are looking for or a quilt you would like made. I have my own facebook page "Quilting and Embroidery by Paula".

My name is Vicki Koch. I have been crocheting for over 50 years. My great grandmother taught me the craft when I was 6. I have made many gifts for friends & family over the years. My children never had anything but my homemade mittens. I have always wanted to turn my passion into a business and, about 3 years ago Off the Hook was born. I am a vendor in several local craft shows & also take custom orders. I grew up in the Jordan Elbridge area but now call Groton NY home.

Tyler Hollister

Hello my name is Tyler for the last 4 years I have enjoyed wood working and crafting. Working with my hands making custom projects keeps me busy. One of the many projects I make are wood American flags. I enjoy creating these projects to honor those in the line of duty.

Larry the Pie Guy

My name is Larry Koch. I learned how to bake and make jams and jellies from my mother & grandmothers. I have modified family recipes to make them my own. I also create new flavor combinations for my jams & jellies. I have won awards at the New York State Fair in 2018 & 2019 for both my jams, jellies & pies and was invited to compete in the best of New York competition. Cornell University approached me 3 years ago to have my pies in the Orchard Retail Store and Larry the Pie Guy was born. My products are available at local crafts shows and various outlets in the area. I served in the Air Force from 1981 to 1989 and discharged as a disabled veteran. I grew up in the Jordan Elbridge area but now call Groton NY home.
